Program Overview
PerkinElmer’s Asia Pacific Leadership Program will prepare the best and brightest emerging leaders in Asia to assume leadership roles in their host country and utilize their global experiences gained from their overseas assignments. These new leaders will help build technical and functional competence in Asia, facilitate technical process transfers, localize technical capability in Asia, build global awareness of the PerkinElmer culture and assist in integrating one global Optoelectronics business.
Selected candidates will receive significant training in their home locations followed by 6 –12 months abroad in other Asian sites, and their next assignments would be back in their home countries for knowledge transfer.

Trainee Professional Development Plan

Home Country and PerkinElmer Orientation – 4 - 6 Months
Host Country Assignment abroad (Asia) – 6 - 12 Months
Home Country Commitment – minimum of 24 Months
The program targets high-performing technical and functional leaders.

Selected candidates will experience the dynamics of working for a great company doing business in exciting high growth markets. Selection criteria

To be selected into the program candidates must possess and have the ability to demonstrate the following:
> Strong academic performance
> Degree or above in mechanical engineering, electronics and other related engineering disciplines.
> Well rounded individual involved in extracurricular activities
> Openness to global assignments
> Role model for PerkinElmer leadership values
> Willingness to make at least a three-year commitment to PerkinElmer
> Strong written & oral communication skills, including fluent English

POSITIONS BASED IN SHENZHEN OR SINGAPORE
Maintenance Engineer:
1. To design /modify machine to meet new process /production requirements;
2. Use new technology/material to upgrade equipment/process;
3. Overhaul and modify the equipment to extend the life span of equipments;
4. Support the senior engineer in projects of increasing machine efficiency and capacity to meet business needs;
5. Coach technician to improve the team efficiency.


Strategic Sourcing Officer:
1. Identify potential suppliers, conduct performance qualifications and align appropriate suppliers with appropriate quality, cost, delivery, business credentials and technical capabilities in China and oversea;
2. Optimize supplier base through supplier selection, evaluations, performance management to ensure continuous supply with low price and good quality goods to our end users;
3. Drive supplier continuous improvement program.
4. Support global internal companies on sourcing needs as well, focusing on supply base within China;
5. Co-ordinate activity from supply chain optimization perspective to support business growth, operation and R&D.

General Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree or above majored in Physics, Optics, Electric/Electronics, Mechanics or other majors.
2. Strong academic performance.
3. Well-rounded individual involved in extracurricular activities.
4. Good command of English.
